The Diamond Tea motivates me because I see the effects of women coming together and sharing how they found their strength to better their lives.
As a business owner, I can relate to many women trying to start a small business: the many tasks it takes and the hopes that it will grow and be successful. In my personal life with my family, there are also hopes to help it grow and be successful. I find myself applying the three words: realize remember, and reclaim at my work, in my volunteer time, and at home.

As the owner of a promotional business, my passion is in assisting small businesses with growth strategies. A Portland native, I am so excited to see The Diamond Tea come to The Nines in downtown Portland and bring opportunities for women to connect and support local organizations and women-in-business.
Being a part of an event that offers an ability to come together to realize more about ourselves and one another, to remember where we’ve been and who we are, and to reclaim our lives confidently is an honor. I am inspired to assist this event’s success for our community.

I have always had a passion for working with nonprofit groups and spending my time working on projects that make a positive impact. In particular working with groups that benefit women and children, this role means so much to me. Prior to being married with children, I worked for a large corporation and I loved my job. I always felt that there was something missing though and now that I am a wife and stay at home mom, I am able to fill that gap by doing work that really matters to me. I am now able to focus my time and energy in ways that might help make the world a better place. I have much experience working with many different types of non profit organizations, however The Diamond Tea has always held a special place in my heart. In attending the first event as a guest, I felt so motivated and inspired to do more. Now I am honored to be a part of the team that puts on this wonderful event. Working with this team of amazing women who are so full of passion for helping others means so much to me. The Diamond Tea is an opportunity for you to be your amazing and authentic self, no matter where you are in your life. I look forward to meeting you and seeing you at the 2013 Diamond Tea event.
